Planned Advisory for the Antelope Valley Line

On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17, 2023, Metrolink will complete a maintenance and rehabilitation project along the Antelope Valley Line. This project will result in a track closure between Newhall Station and Los Angeles Union Station.   

Antelope Valley Line train service will only operate between the Newhall and Lancaster stations. Metrolink will provide alternate bus service for passengers between Newhall and Los Angeles. Service may be delayed by up to 90 minutes as trains await connecting buses. 

Bus Bridge FAQs  

• Will the buses be able to carry bikes?  Not all of them. We work with the bus charter companies to have space for both luggage and bicycles, but the compartments are not necessarily designed to secure bicycles. When we can secure buses that routinely provide public transportation, traditional bicycle racks are located outside of the buses. 
• Are the buses ADA accessible? At least one bus will be ADA accessible within each group of scheduled buses providing alternate transportation. 
• Why will trains be delayed by up to 1 hour late? Buses will take the fastest, safest route available, however, due to traffic we can experience delays from 30-90 minutes. Buses cannot travel the distance from Newhall and Los Angeles as fast as a train. 

• Do I need to buy an extra ticket to ride the bus? No. Your Metrolink ticket is all you need.

• Metrolink Los Angeles Union Station:   The buses will pull into the Patsaouras Bus Bay (5) Plaza located at: 800 N. Alameda Street Los Angeles, CA  
• Metrolink Glendale Station: 400 W Cerritos Ave, Glendale, CA 91204 
• Metrolink Burbank-Downtown: 201 N Front St, Burbank, CA 91502 

• Metrolink Burbank Airport-North- 3600 N. San Fernando Blvd., Burbank CA 91505 
• Metrolink Sun Valley Station: 8360 San Fernando Rd, Sun Valley, CA 91352

• Will there be personnel at the stations to assist us?  Metrolink will make every effort to have staff at stations with bus bridge service.
